Goal
Revitalize the West Negev post-war using the expertise of Israeli tech. This endeavor goes beyond mere reconstruction; it's a catalyst for economic renewal, positioning us as a transformative force for positive change.
How?
With your support, we envision a three-phase mission:
In the short term, we aim to identify talents in the Western Negev, providing them a substantial entry point into the tech industry.
In the mid term, as the talent pool grows, we will establish a tech presence in the Western Negev.
Ultimately, a flourishing tech hub will emerge, fostering sustainable growth and innovation in the area.
In order to accomplish our mission, we will form a coalition with government ministries, local authorities, academic institutions, training initiatives, accelerators, and nongovernmental organizations operating in the West Negev.
What does Place-IL do?
In 2022 Israel’s leading tech leaders, companies and investors, teamed up for the first time to proactively tackle underrepresented groups in the high tech industry.
With Google as a founding partner, Place-IL spearheaded a groundbreaking initiative to address the demand for a diverse workforce and pioneered a dedicated tech-driven screening process.
Achievements
In Place-IL’s first year of activity, it opened doors for hundreds of individuals to enter the Tech Industry, facilitating dozens of placements. This initiative not only created a pioneering opportunity for each individual to shape a new future for themselves but also to impact Israel’s economic future.
